Medeski Scofield Martin & Wood have announced they will embark on a tour of North America this December.

The 10-date tour will be in support of their upcoming album Juice, which is due for release on September 16 from Indirecto Records.

MSMW will play 14 dates in Europe, hitting Switzerland, Italy, Germany, and others before heading back to the states to kick off their North American winter tour. The shows begin in the nation’s capital of Washington, DC before travelling across Canada and the Eastern and Midwest quadrants of the U.S. before closing out the tour in Minneapolis, MN.

“We love the unexplained magic that comes from our collaboration with John Scofield on every level… This is a band with a personality and dynamics all its own that we feel we’ve captured like never before on this latest album. And it will only continue to evolve over these shows this winter,” John Medeski said of the upcoming tour.

The 10-track Juice album features six original compositions alongside covers of saxophonist Eddie Harris’ “Sham Time” (which you can listen to above), Cream’s “Sunshine Of Your Love,” The Doors’ “Light My Fire,” and Bob Dylan’s “The Times They Are A-Changin’.” MSMW have performed together for seventeen years, so this is sure to be a tight record.
