Soweto Kinch

Birmingham based alto-saxophonist, rapper, (and occasional victim of crime) Soweto Kinch embodies the next generation of British Jazz. His liberal use of effects pedals and his readiness to blur genre lines force listeners to question their perception of what Jazz really is. Kinch has won the ‘Best Jazz Act’ award twice before, in 2003 and 2007, and has walked away with countless other accolades in his 12-years in the spotlight.
