The Recording Academy has announced its 2015 Grammy Hall Of Fame Inductees.

Every year, a special committee of Academy members select a handful of albums that are at least 25-years-old to be inducted into the Hall of Fame. A total of 27 new albums will join the Hall of Fame in 2015, bringing the total number of albums proudly displayed at the Grammy Museum as some of the best musical works of all time to 987.

Even though jazz is increasingly underrepresented at the annual Grammy awards ceremony, the genre is usually well represented in the Hall of Fame and this year proved no exception.

Sonny Rollins‘ iconic 1962 album ‘The Bridge’ will be inducted this year, as will free-jazz forefather Ornette Coleman with his 1959 album ‘The Shape Of Jazz To Come.’

Other notable singles/albums this year include Chic’s “Le Freak,” ‘Fats’ Waller’s “Jitterbug Waltz,” Otis Redding’s “Try A Little Tenderness,” and Paul Robeson’s “Swing Low, Sweet Chariot.”
