We don’t hear much from the band these days, but Country group The Little Willies have been making a lot of noise recently ahead of the release of their upcoming album ‘For The Good Times’, which will be released on January 10, 2012.

Formed in 2003, the band (or “Loose-Knit Collective”, as they prefer to be called) features the infamous Norah Jones on piano/vocals alongside Lee Alexander (bass), Jim Campilongo (guitar), Richard Julian (guitar, vocals) and Dan Rieser (drums), formed out of a love of performing country classics. What began as just an excuse for five friends to jam together at a popular New York music spot ended up becoming too much fun to just be a one-off, so despite living in opposite corners of the U.S., the band recorded an album and started growing a serious following.

The group reconvened for their latest record, ‘For the Good Times’, which follows up on their eponymous self-titles 2006 debut. It sees the collective record a new mix of country covers by some of The Little Willies’ favorite songwriters, including Loretta Lynn, Willie Nelson, Johnny Cash, Kris Kristofferson, Lefty Frizell, and Dolly Parton.
